What to do?

Well, this blog has not been updated for some time now and there is a good reason for it. Three Staneks has now become four Staneks! Madeleine Rachel Stanek was born on April 23rd at 8:11 p.m. She weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 19.5 inches long. Timothy loves being a big brother and Madeleine is a great baby.

So here is the question...should we keep the same blog name or get a new one? We haven't decided yet. Stephanie's Facebook page is being updated regularly with pictures of both kids - Timothy and Madeleine. If you don't have a Facebook profile now would be a great time. We don't mean to neglect the blog, but it is MUCH easier to post pictures on Facebook.

That's where things stand right now, sorry to leave people in limbo.

Hope you enjoy the picture of the happy big brother and baby sister!

February 2009

Sorry for the delay, but this one will be a long one for you. Lots of pictures to keep you up to date!

The first series of pictures is from Christmas morning.

Here is Timothy playing with his new kitchen playset. He loves to pretend, especially when he can imitate us and what we're doing.

Opening presents. He still loves his Thomas the Tank Engine book - he goes to bed with it now!

New bib and special hat from Uncle Jeremie.

Uncle Ian is helping!

Hanging out with Grandmaman Danielle! Timmy still asks for her, and then tells us that she is bye-bye. He still asks for Uncle Huff and Ian too!

Silly time with Mommy!

At the Henry Doorly Zoo with Mommy and Daddy. Unfortunately Sean and I both got the stomach flu and had to cut the day short.

This is lion that looked at Timmy like a yummy snack...

Now for February. Timothy has now given up the pacifier. Sean is home in the mornings to help out (and it is a huge help!) and Timmy is not so rushed. Here he is goofing around instead of getting dressed.

New hangout place... in the ottoman!

Leo also received a gift for Christmas. Silly Timothy keeps trying to climb into it. Unfortunately, he doesn't fit and usually ends up yelling, "Mommy, stuck!"

We finally got a snow day!

On February 13th, we finally had enough snow to call school off. It was great because it was also the first time Timothy has really played in the snow. It was just too cold after every other snow fall. We put his snow pants, boots and mittens on him and off he went! Or actually, didn't go. He didn't know what to do in the snow at first but helped Sean shovel and bit. I took him out into the snow and sat him down and he still was not sure what to thing. We took him out again the next day and he had a great time. Hopefully we'll get another opportunity before the season is over.

Quick December addition...

I couldn't resist adding some more pictures from today. It is the first day of our Christmas vacation and Timothy has been in a super mood and loving his drum (which he refers to as "bum"). Friends of ours had a baby last night so we went to visit. Timmy was very excited and curious, and very gentle with the not-even-a-day-old baby.

December 2008

Timothy is 2 now and growing like a weed! He is talking more and more. We're looking forward to him saying full sentences. He loves chicken nuggets and the Wonderpets. He also loved his musical birthday gifts - a drum and a guitar and various other noise makers.

Here he is in the chair he got from Grandma Diana and Great-grandma Barbara.

Chillin' with Mommy.

First ever visit with Santa. It went very well.

Dressed as Little Santa for Mommy's Holiday Concert. He didn't do what we had hoped for, but perked up and was cute anyway.

Sleepy boy. I couldn't resist taking this. He was so dead asleep!

Timmy did not want to get dressed, so we figured it wouldn't kill him to eat shirtless. And pantless. We were having ravioli, so it all worked out in the end. He created this hairstyle himself!

October 2008

So we bought a potty in the hopes that he would at least get used to it. We had success the first time we used it! But then he's peed on the floor every time since then. Oh well, we'll try again in a few months.

I know, you've all seen it before. But when we get the camera out, he can't help himself.

THE CHEESY GRIN!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

These ones are by popular demand...

Timmy hanging out with Elaine. We visited before it got dark so he wouldn't get scared.

Timmy playing at Tammy and Dave's house. He made himself comfortable.

Very comfortable. So comfortable he Swiffered.

October 7, 2008

Hello Everyone! I'm sorry for not updating the blog sooner but it's been a busy few months with school, for both me and Sean. Sean is still taking classes at Grace University and is now also doing an internship at the Glenwood Resource Center. My life is not so interesting - just teaching and hanging with Timmy. Here are some pics from the past few months.

Here is Timothy at the water fountain at Steinhart Park. He eventually ended up in just a diaper because he got so wet!

Labor Day barbeque with friends at our house. Someone got a bit messy - and is showing off his cheesy grin!

At mommy's band concert in Hamburg, Iowa.

Ice Cream Time! Yum!

Here we are at Camp Fontanelle. This was before the corn maze!

At the petting zoo barn. Timmy loved the goats, he couldn't stop giggling, especially when they licked his hand.

Digging in the dirt. What a boy!

First experience in a bouncer. He wouldn't stand up or even move, he just stayed in one place and enjoyed the other kids bouncing.
